Xander (gebouwbeheerder) was kind enough to gift us a considerable number of rgb ambilight strips, removed from phillips flatscreen televisions that were to become part of a video wall. He also salvaged the matching ribbon connectors. The strips are populated with side-emitting rgb leds, as well as a TI tlc59** series pwm controller, so it should be a piece of cake to get them up and running as part of an interesting project.<br />
